Day  & Extended Trips

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is happy to partner with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Senior Centers to bring affordable trips for Seniors. Listed are trips of varying length, from day trips to eight day cruises. As our trips become more popular, they are fill quickly. It is important that you register early. The trips will leave from the Senior Centers at Tyvola, Shamrock and Beatties Ford.

15-passenger vans will be used for transportation with a maximum of 10 participants per van. The cost for each trip is $10 which covers the transportation, this money must be paid in advance to secure a seat on the trip. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

See below for the address for mailing a check or money order, as well as numbers to call to pay with Visa or MasterCard.

On three occasions there is also a separate admission charge; which will be paid the day of the trip.

Please note that return times are approximate and may vary due to travel time and other situations beyond our control.

One day trips require full payment with reservation.  No reservations are held without payment.

Cancellation Policy

No refunds will be given for One Day trips, however, if you cancel more than 48 hours in advance you may apply your balance to a future trip, depending on availability.
