The Telephone Reassurance program is a free service that
provides a daily phone call by a friendly and trained volunteer to people
who live alone and feel Isolated from the community due to age, health
problems or living arrangements. Referrals are taken from social workers,
neighbors and relatives.
The goal of the program is helping seniors' health and
wellness by decreasing their loneliness and isolation as well as providing
assistance with social, economic and educational matters that will enhance
the quality of their lives.
Telephone
Reassurance calls are made daily, Monday - Friday.
This program provides a sense of
caring, reassurance and support to seniors, giving them a sense of security
knowing someone will check on their safety and well being each day.
