RSVP Volunteer Class Discount Policy
I. Policy
RSVP volunteers
who submit volunteer hours at least once during a quarter are eligible to
take an educational class at any one of the three CMSC educational program
locations at half-price, if the volunteer is not an associate member of CMSC.
The educational classes are FREE for RSVP volunteers who are also an
associate member of CMSC.
II.
Responsibility
A. This
policy was established by the CMSC Executive Director, who also has overall
responsibility for maintaining the provisions of this policy. The primary
individuals responsible for carrying out the program are the CMSC Program
Directors and the RSVP Director.
B. The
RSVP Director and/or RSVP Assistant is responsible for maintaining this
document.
III. Procedures
A. Educational Classes
CMSC educational
classes run for three month periods called semesters.

Winter semester: January – March

Spring semester: April – June

Summer semester: July – September

Winter semester: October – December
B.
Eligible Volunteers
RSVP volunteers
are eligible for class discounts if they logged volunteer hours in the
three-month period (semester/quarter) immediately preceding the semester in
which a class is being offered. Volunteers must re-qualify for class
discounts each semester.
C. Coupons
RSVP volunteers
will verify their eligibility for class discounts through the use of
coupons.

the coupon attached to be valid; discounts will not be given without signed
coupon. Coupon must be attached to the Class Registration form. A coupon is
only valid for one semester.
D. Registration Process

An RSVP volunteer
desiring to obtain a discount coupon will request one or more (one for each
class) from the RSVP Director, either in person or by phone.

The
RSVP Director will verify the eligibility of the volunteer, fill out a
coupon, and either hand the coupon to the volunteer or fax it to the CMSC
facility nearest the volunteer.

The
volunteer will submit one coupon with the class registration form for each
class along with any applicable fee(s).
